For LA (Louisiana) it's best to Google your town/city name + shed permit to find out the requirements. If information is not available online, calling the local building department would offer the most accurate information.
You likely don't need a building permit in LA (Los Angeles) since the floor area is under 120 sq ft. You may need a permit to run electrical, though.
